Deputy
Sheriff Wallace Davis
of the Clallam County Sheriff's Department
was shot in the head and killed when responding
to a domestic disturbance call August 5, 2000.
The suspect was arrested and charged with
first degree murder of a police officer. He
had been with department for five years and
in law enforcement a total of 25 years. He
is survived by a wife and four children.
