time has come to set
the record straight.

The
Leoff 1 Coalition is convinced of
one thing:
"Any
and all money in the LEOFF 1 Retirement
System is the EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY
of the LEOFF 1 System members and
beneficiaries!"
All
contributions to the LEOFF 1 System
have come directly from law enforcement
officers and fire fighters, as a result
of their EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
to serve and protect the public.
Any
attempt to steal, transfer or otherwise
appropriate LEOFF 1 funds is a breach
of contract and a PROMISE BROKEN
to those who have faithfully served
the public.
SB
6166 or similar legislation which
would confiscate the LEOFF 1 funds
is a tragic precedent that will forever
nullify the integrity of any and all
public pensions.
The
LEOFF 1 Coalition consists of member
organizations representing some 9,400
LEOFF 1 members and beneficiaries.
